I just started my job this week at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis. Apart of the job is to take a tour of the museum and to express how we felt about a particular exhibit. One of the exhibits are called " Power of Children". This exhibit is centered around Anne Frank, Ruby Bridges, and Ryan White. The exhibit has different displays about the children's' lives and the different obstacles they went through and how it applies to us today and maybe even changed someones life. The next day a 57 year old Caucasian co-worker felt it was appropriate to tell me that she was inspired by the 'Power of Children' exhibit and was very touching to her, but specifically the Ruby Bridges display. At this point I wasn't sating anything because I wasn't sure where this conversation was going. She goes on to say "I knew people who had colored maids"....."colored children were treated badly"....."My children weren't taught to say 'nigger'" .....At this point I felt like she was using that whole conversation to say those words. Whether she was or not, it had to be one of the most uncomfortable conversations I've had in my life. I don't understand how she could even feel OK about using those words in the same point to banish then. How can a person relate their positive feelings with a link to a negative adjective?

Avant garde visual artist: David Choe

His aesthetic is that of a true starving artist with nothing to lose. He is an artist that would excel in any art form had he tried it because he is an extremist. Whether he became a classically trained dancer, musician, photographer, actor or circus clown, he would take it and produce pure gold.

My goodness, this is truly art!

INCREDIBLE!

Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro: Bottega Veneta

I would support the clothing much more if "leather" wasn't their niche. Cow killers or not-- their men's line is pure art.

Current muse (Noved).

I appreciate how Aubry Drake Graham manages to balance being an accomplished actor and musician. His music didn't initially appeal to me because the first song I heard was "Best I Ever Had".

Then I discovered this gem a back in July, and became an instant fan.

Drake is also set to star in a television sitcom called, "Us and Them". I'm not sure if it will air here in America, but this trailer makes me want to do illegal things to go see it!

Life and love,

Devon Starving Artist Ginn

Creativity isn't a choice... it's a personality trait.

We are a group of students who have the attention span of a child burdened with ADD. Many ideas and thoughts run through our heads, but facebook isn't big enough to contain all of them! We started this blog for many reasons...

1. One of us, if not all, will be famous some how.

a. Devon Ginn (Noved) is an actor, poet, cultural activist, radical lyricist, and 1/2 of a musical duo called, Radical Ambiance.

b. Ashley Chew (LeeChewie) is the dopest fashion designer in the Midwest. She's about two seconds away from taking over the world... and your brain.

c. Debora Clark (Bebe) is vocal ambiance in human form. She is classically trained in opera, but will slay the music scene with her DOPE R&B. She too is 1/2 of the musical Duo, Radical Ambiance.

2. We need this for trips down Memory Lane, and for those oh so awesome, "Remember when...'s"

3. We need an outlet for our creativity, and since we're all too busy to breath, we want to be able to relay different ideas to one another without having to blow up facebook, or twitter! (both of which we are really ashamed of)

4. Our inside jokes are worthy of some air-time. People seem to laugh, so we'll slap em on here periodically for you entertainment!

5. We, "d0n'T suhP0RT d3mZ dr3$$3$".

Life and love... enjoy!
